Book-keeper / Trainee Book-keeper

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for data entry into computerized accountancy software.
Maintaining filing systems for paper and electronic (PDF) invoices.
Reconciliation of bank statements.
Downloading supplier invoices from websites.

Essential Skills / Experience

The successful candidate must be studying for the AAT qualification (or similar), or be AAT qualified or be willing to study the AAT (normally one evening per week at college)
Good general computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, internet browsers and email.
Good maths skills, typically a GCSE Maths qualification or similar.

Desirable Qualities

Any book-keeping or accountancy experience / qualifications would be an advantage.

The Benefits

Trainees will receive time off for examinations, and college fees for the AAT will be funded by the company.

Website Developer & Technical Support Assistant
(trainee may be considered)

The Role

We are looking for a highly technical person to create basic websites and provide technical support to customers by phone and support ticket.

This role is suitable for experienced support operatives / website developers and also suitable for a trainee who has the basic experience of managing their own hosting account.
The successful candidate will provide the first line of support to our hosting customers. This will include answering the phone to customers and responding to tickets in our support system.
The successful candidate will also configure new hosting accounts, set up email and create simple websites for small businesses.

Essential Skills / Experience

Basic experience of creating websites and managing a hosting account is essential.
You must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
You must be polite, curteous and very helpful, willing to go the extra mile to sort out problems for customers.
Good, all round computer skills are absolutely essential.
Ability to understand technical jargon, quickly learn new things and stay up to date in a fast developing role.
Full training will be given.

Desirable Qualities

The following qualities would prove useful to the successful candidate and may give an advantage at interview but are not essential:
•   An experience of web hosting, especially using cPanel and WHM.
•   The ability to create and modify websites using HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL.
•   Basic knowledge of SSL certificates (creation, installation etc).
•   Basic Linux experience ideally CentOS, and using PuTTY and WinSCP
•   The ability to install and configure software in hosted accounts (forums, shopping carts etc)

Basic salary plus bonuses - depending upon knowledge and experience.
Possibility of supervising a small team in 6 to 12 months.
